Reverse on my 2012 GW 1800
I seldom have to use my reverse, but when you need it you NEED it! The switch on the handlebar won't connect. I push it, if shifts from neutral to reverse, then back to neutral. Any suggestions other than taking the bike to a shop would be appreciated.

Re: Reverse on my 2012 GW 1800
The grease in the switch has turned hard and is keeping the latch pin from latching. Drop the bottom off of the control pod and spray a bunch of contact cleaner into the switch at its joint where the wires are attached, then work it in and out until it latches and unlatches reliably.CelticHero wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 5:03 pm I seldom have to use my reverse, but when you need it you NEED it! Use an electrical contact cleaner, do not use wd40.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.
