2013 Roadsmith Trike Brake Fluid change

Post by bohdan »

Gents, I understand that the brakes on Roadsmith trikes are no longer integrated. Somehow or another, I guess they are disconnected and each brake, front and rear are independent. I am trying to figure out how to change the brake fluid. Is there any documentation on how to do this? Mighty obliged

Not sure what to do for the front brakes, but the Roadsmith install manual says to bleed the rear brake using the top bleeder. Dosen't say which one to start with (left side or right). Hope this helps you some.

With my Lehman I have 2 nipples on each caliper. The installer said to start with the top nipples and start with the caliper that has the longest brake line 1st. Do one side then the other. Just like a car you start with the furthest caliper when bleeding the system. With the front I would trace the lines to see whats been rerouted and then see how similar it is to Hondas for bleeding.

Thanks Gents. I know that the integrated portion of the brake system on a fully integrated Goldwing ( mine) has a process and sequence of which one gets bled first. I don't have a Roadsmith Trike manual as I was told there isn't such a thing.
