Front end feels like it "Stutters" over sharp bumps
Hello all, I am new here and have had my first Goldwing (2012) for a few weeks now. When ever I go over a sharp or short and quick bump it feels like the front end "stutters" (the bike runs really smooth over normal bumps). I haven't really been able to prove front or rear,, it just feels like its coming from the front end. I was able to find a section of road that was bumpy (2 or 3 seconds of bumps at highway speed), and it had this stutter the whole way through it. It also felt like it slowed the bike down (ever so slightly), haven't been able to figure that one out yet (not sure if my throttle hand was slowing the bike down). I have 15,500 KM's (9,631 miles) on the bike with brand new tires, the bike was just safetied too. I am 240 lbs and have my preload set to "2". Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Check the front wheel bearings and the steering stem bearings.

I am not getting any sound out of the bearings when turning or leaning,, but I will check anyways, Steering column was checked during Safety and passed, still worth a second look though.
What condition would I look for when checking the steering stem bearings (loose with play?), thanks

Yup. Lift the bike so the front wheel is in the air. Shake and pull looking for play. Move the steering back and forth and feel for a notch when the bars are centered, or any play anywhere.

Be sure your air pressure is set according to sticker on the inside of the trunk lid.
