left pocket wiring

Post by jasonv »

I am finally getting around to use the accessory plug in the left pocket on my 2012 GSL1800.

For the life of me I can't find it. Could it be under the plastic air intake inside the pocket? I have pulled on every wire under there and can't find anything.

It's in there. There is a fairly good size harness. Follow along that and find a rubber boot. Yes, you may have to wiggle things around or release a cable tie. There will be two empty connectors in that boot.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you have an accessory port in the left pocket ??? They are one of many Hondaline accessories that can be added to a Wing. 5th gen Wings did not come powerports from Honda, they must be added. If it helps, here are the instructions

Look at the instruction that Greg added. You have to add the 12V socket to the pocket. It did not come with the bike unless the previous owner added it. After you pull the tray out of the bike, you are looking for a red plastic two prong plug in one of the large rubber boots. This is what the accessory plug plugs into for power.

Yes. I understand and agree.

There is no red plastic two prong plug in the rubber boots. This is the issue.

I'll probably just run a fused wire to the battery.

Found it. Was hanging down in front of the left radiator.

Thanks for all the input.
