12V Accessory Port

Post by JasonNgreenberf »

Installing a replacement 12V Accessory Plug. Not working and I noticed 2 unplugged wires. They disappeared and I found one but the other is hiding and I can't fund it inside the fairing wiring. Does anyone know where they are located. Picture attached.

You said "replacement" so you should just be able to follow the old wires. The factory bike harness has two available connectors, both tucked inside the same rubber boot. The three wire plug is for the AUX audio input and connects to a cable that has a headphone type jack on the other end. This may or may not have been connected before you started. The two wire plug is for 12 volt power connection. The cigarette lighter plug uses this as well as a USB power port, sometimes accessory power to other circuits.
