First time poster here. The F.M. radio on my 2006 Gold Wing started acting up last fall. If I go to change radio stations with any of the preselect radio buttons, I just get a "O" on the display screen, and lose the station it was on, no sound. I can use the handlebar controller to go to another station, and then it works good, (have sound) again till I hit the preselect button again, then goes to "O" again, w/no sound. When I shut off bike it will go back to last staion it was on upon start up again.
Have sound till I hit preselect again. I can NOT presset stations again while it is doing this. Always goes to "O" when using preset buttons. I also have a C.B. radio that seems to work fine. No presets there though. Have a rear seat p.tt button. I have a analog voltmeter that always shows 14.2 volts. Bad fuse, or time to send it to Sierra Radio for repair?

As with various electical issues, always start by verifying that your battery connections are clean and tight. Once all good there, be sure to have you battery professionally tested.
Is your CB a Hondaline one ??? Is there anything like an MP3 player wired in ???

The C.B. radio is the Honda variety. I Have several M.P.3. players I use occasionally. on long trips. Cuts out the commercials and other talk stuff. Hooks up conveiniantly in left hand fairing pouch. I Use selector button to go from Aux, to a.m. and f.m. Could that cause this?

I'm refering more to MP3s that people hardwire in which allows them to make track selections using their hand controls on the lefthand switch assy.diecast collector wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 10:43 am The C.B. radio is the Honda variety. Once you've checked the battery connections and had the battery tested, you might try calling Sierra Electronics. Others have said that they are extreemly helpful over the phone.

So then it is possible for the bike to start okay, but still be low enough on voltage to operate the radio?
