For anyone wanting to know what a slow moving valve looks like, I captured this on video long ago, and I finally posted it here. Click on the "Watch on YouTube link."

Would that be fixed by new gas and maybe an oil additive to loosen the valve ?
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

Now that you mention the reason for it I remember my kids putting old gas in a susuki quadsport and damaging the top end

Unfortunanly new gas does not clean old gas. Think of it like a carb that needs OH'd ... new gas does not unplug the passages. The repair consists of cleaning the intake valve stems. For best success, that can be done one of two ways. Remove the heads and take them to a machine shop where they will be disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and refaced. Or, remove the injectors, and spray Gumout carb cleaner on the valve stems as they are being pushed in/out. In either case, the repair is expensive. Usually slow moving valves also means that the entire fuel system is contaminated with rust. So it ends up being a 2 part repair, fix the fuel issue, fix the slow moving valve issue, and they must be done together. When not done togeather, the repair then has to be done all over again.

We've had a couple of Wings towed directly from dealers. They started fixing the old fuel issue by replacing the fuel pump, and all 6 injectors. When they started it, they then had a poor running Wing. They didn't know that the repair starts with repairing slow moving valves first, then fix the fuel issue. I think that customers bill was nearly $7000 after paying the dealer nearly $2500.
