I own a 2008 GL1800 Goldwing with Nav. & Airbag. I recently installed a CB and connected new Honda headsets. I am not able to get any sound out of the intercom and I am wondering how to fix this issue. I read that the intercom amp is separate and sometimes goes out.
Does anyone know where the amp is located, and can I purchase a new one? Ideas? Thank you in advance!

Before you start replacing things, maybe go back and read the owner's manual. The intercom volume and mute controls are separate from the radio, CB, etc. Turn the intercom on and try adjusting if you haven't yet. Also, the location of the MIC in front of your face can be kind of fussy.
Lastly, search on Mic-Mutes. Someone may have installed these on the bike before you owned it.

Re: 2008 GL1800 Intercom Problem
I did read the manual and followed the instructions with no results. All the indicators on the dash seem okay. My headsets and cords are brand new so that isn't an issue.
I am going to take the seat off and look at everything again. I wonder what mike-mutes look like?
Thanks for replying.
