After getting my 2008 1800 GoldWing converted to a California sidecar trike my airbag light is on. My builder, instead of sending my motorcycle to a Honda dealer to save face, he admitted to not having the technical knowledge to repair the airbag light. Instead, he told me the airbag light was my problem because the California Sidecar has a disclaimer, they do not recommend California sidecar conversions with airbag-equipped motorcycles.
I have recently purchased a Honda adapter for an OBD2 meter but have no idea where the plug is. If anyone knows where this four-prong plug is on the 2008 1800 Gold Wing, please let me know. Thanks

Re: AirBag light on
It's not true OBD2 as that standard is not mandated for motorcycles. The communications protocol is different, but with the right software...
HealTech is one vendor that supports the GL1800 but not sure about airbag codes.
The connector is under the seat. (Red 4pin)

The installer probably left a connector unplugged

PGM-FI, AIR-BAG, and I beleive, TPMS, all have plug in ports for testing. I beleive the AIR-BAG one is found under the seat, inside the left frame rail near the left rear pocket.

Re: AirBag light on
The diag connector on my 06 has a red cap. I assume Honda didn't change that in 2 years.
