My 2012 Wing is Sputtering At Launch
When I pull to a light, stop, then make a wide turn my Wing is sputtering a little at the slow turning speed. It's odd. Now and then there is a "bump" in the engine when I'm traveling at a decent speed, but when I'm in first gear or a really slow second, it's beginning to sputter. Mainly when I turn left. I changed my air filter a couple of months ago. Could it not be getting enough air or does the new filter need time to break in? This sputtering thing is concerning. On the interstate it's cool. At slow speeds, it's coughing.

Welcome to the forum. Where are you from?
The air filter does not need to get "broken in" but the ECM may need to know about the new filter. Start the bike cold. Do not touch the throttle. Let it idle until the fans come on. Shut off. Then start and take for a ride. Some folks will disconnect the battery negative cable for a minute before doing this procedure.
You should also do a dose of fuel injector cleaner; preferably before the ECM reset above. Techron, Star-Tron, Seafoam are common but you can do a search on this site to see what folks like.

Thanks for this. I'd never have thought to try any of it. I've had my bike for a while and it never gave me any hassle other than basic maintenance, which to be honest I look forward to doing. The air filter was a journey, but I did it. I'll run the injector cleaner soon and try the idle heat up.

Nope. I ride it a lot. It comes and goes. Like I got water in the gas tank or something. It’s not all the time which makes it hard to pinpoint. I got some Techron cleaner to try. I’ll see how that goes.
