SuperTrapp exhaust for GL1800?

Post by raygald »

On trunkless Goldwing pictures (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=72476), the exhausts look like SuperTrapp one. Have somebody installed theses exhaust on GL1800? What about the new noise with them? Maybe some videos to compare OEM and SuperTrapp exhaust? Reprogramming the ECU for them or no need to do it?

yes those are SuperTrapp exhaust tips and there are from a harley big twin that i found on marketplace i had to make a new intermediate pipe and brackets but i have put on 11000 km this year so far and i didn't rejet on the carbs and the airfilter is stock,i like the sound but it's not for everyone,it does have more of a throaty sound almost like a porche.good luck but i am thinking if you did put pipes on your 1800 and being fuel injection it would adjust to the pipes after all if you rode in a different altitude the computer is smart enough to adjust to it for the fuel, right and by the way where in Canada are you from?

If you put them on an 1800, you would loose the cat converters. If you have to get an inspection done for registration, it will fail. Just throwing it out there.
