does anyone have or know where i can get the foot warmer knob that controls it? a little black one! its either in my shop or somewhere on the bike but i cant find it!

The OEM part is: KNOB, VENT ADJUSTER LEVER (LOWER) 83163-MCA-A70 and costs about $5.00.

I'd suggest talking to your dealer's parts department.

When you go to the dealership with a part number that you KNOW is correct it is kind of hard for them or anyone to screw it up. And, the dealership does not charge you shipping. You pay for the part and sales tax and that is it.

you are correct,but at first he said he did not find the part number! i asked him to look again, low and behold he found it! i thank you for that because he would not have looked it up! they are mostly a side by side dealer although when i walked there were two brand new gw's on the floor when i inquired he said they had been aquired by another dealer and they had street bikes! again thank you for the info!

The people at the counter can be lazy or overwhelmed and don't always use due diligence. Looking for a part can be tedious and time consuming, especially when you are not 100% sure what it is the customer wants. We as customers don't always do a great job of explaining what it is that we need.

Look for the item that we are talking about. Finding it an be a bit of a chore.
First you need to identify what vehicle you have.
Then you have to identify where to look.

It is item 32.

I was guessing that your bike is a GL18004A (VIN# 1HFSC47G-6A500001 To 1HFSC47G-6A599999). It really didn't make a lot of difference if I had it wrong because all the GL18003A, 4A, 5A, 7A and 8A all have the same part.

As you can see it can be a bit tedious if you are not real familiar with the particular bike you are looking up. And, the people at the dealerships have LOTS of vehicles to deal with.

For that reason, I like to look things up myself and make sure I have the correct part number before I go to the dealership, or order parts online
