starter switch
My switch at the grip seems to be iffy latly , is this the selonod or the switch at the grip?

Usually it's the switch. You can check at the relay with a test light or meter to confirm.

It is not really easy to replace but you can try shooting some contact cleaner into the switch housing and operating the switch multiple times. Before squirting any cleaner into the switch assembly, make sure you cover the fairing with something to keep any of the fluid off of your plastic. Though the product may say it is plastic safe, I have a tendency to not believe it.

I would try the electronic contact cleaner first. CRC makes a good one that you can get at Wal Mart or any auto parts store. Do not use WD 40! it just attracts more crud. Road curd gets in there and makes the switch contacts dirty. The cleaner cleans it off and the switch works again. Much cheaper and easier than replacing the switch. I use thins on all the momentary switches. Never had to replace one yet.
