Radio removal and install gl1800a

Post by denverdave »

I just finished removing and replacing the radio on my wife's 2002 Goldwing. I was unable to find any instructions on this or any site for the removal.
Just a heads up.....the entire cowling and the dash cover have to be removed to facilitate this replacement.
I replaced the radio because no sound was being received through the helmet for the radio, cb, or intercom or aux.
Good luck.

My radio won’t turn on after I disconnected battery. This is after replacing the radio.

I replaced the radio in my 2002 1800 goldwing. Couldn’t fine any directions as you stated. I can’t get power to the radio. Does this have anything to do with disconnecting the battery? Ignition switch power is good and backup power is good.
