1987 Aspencade for sale
I am selling my 1987 Aspencade. I bought a Gl1800 audio comfort with the idea that my wife, would ride the 1200. She won't drive it so it has to go. The bike is in excellent shape with only 9500 miles. I bought it in 2013 with 6200 miles. Everything is in great working order. It is wine berry in color. Paint is in great condition. It had new fork seals in 2013 and new front and rear tires in 2014. You won't fine a nicer one. Asking $5250.00. Will consider reasonable offers. My email is wireguy51@gmail.com. use it to contact me.

Re: 1987 Aspencade for sale
It would appear that my Aspencade is priced too high so I looked up used motorcycle values here : http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycles/1 ... ADE/Values
I believe the cycle is in excellent condition for a 30 year old bike. Runs great, looks great, has only 9800 miles, and I think the buyer would get many thousands of enjoyable miles on the old girl. The NADA price for it in excellent condition is $4735.00 I did an oil change and radiator flush when I put her away for the winter. The only issue that I think she needs is a new battery, it is a little sluggish turning over. Considering that I don't ride it except for brief rides after doing service work I guess that is to be expected. It still has the battery it had when I bought it so I really don't know how old it is. I will be willing to buy and install a new one when someone makes an offer on the bike. If you are looking for a great vintage Wing, don't pass up this chance to own one.

I had the same bike. Wish I had kept it. Wineberry is the fastest color.

Re: 1987 Aspencade for sale
I am still looking to sell my 87 Aspencade but have decided that I would consider a trade. My wife won't ride the Aspencade so I would be willing to talk a trade for a Honda Silverwing or a Suzuki Burgman. If anyone has a nice scooter and are willing to negotiate a trade, PM me.
Thanks,
Al

Re: 1987 Aspencade for sale
I am not really in the market for another bike.. but...
... But your ad has caught my attention -
Is it really under 10,000 miles or has it been turned over prior to your owning it ?
I seem to recall the 1200's had a 5 place odometer and 100K + would spin it over -
If I am wrong - please take no offense -- I had a 1200 and loved it -
My son is currently looking for an affordable motorcycle - maybe this is the one ..
Does your '87 have the cruise control ? Some of them did with a certain option package
Is there a working CB radio installed ?
Just considering --
More pictures would be helpful too - front - rear- both sides- dash - etc.
Not just for me - but for anyone looking at the advertisement as well...

Re: 1987 Aspencade for sale
Yes, the mileage is really under 10,000. When I bought the bike in 2013 it had only 6200 miles. The front fork seals had been replaced because it sat in a heated and air conditioned garage for most of its lifetime. I replaced both tires in 2014 and rode it for 2 years with absolutely no issues. It has cruise control which works but no CB. All the body panels are in great shape with no cracks. I had it out for a ride just the other day. I have numerous pictures and will post them when I get to my laptop. I am posting from my phone, will add a couple that I have handy.Wingsconsin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2017 10:16 am I am not really in the market for another bike.. but...

Re: 1987 Aspencade for sale
Took my 1800 to my local Goldwing Guru yesterday for some expert wiring issues. He is installing a headlight modulator and spoiler flasher for me This guy has been working on Hondas for 30+ years and knows his stuff. 'm glad he is only 18 miles from my home. He is the same guy that worked on my 87 Aspencade before I bought it. I knew that he had replaced the fork seal but was unaware that he had rebuilt the carbs. So if you are wondering about the carbs, they have been done.

Re: 1987 Aspencade for sale
Well, my 87 Aspencade found a new home today. I am extremely happy that an owner of a Honda dealership purchased the bike and is going to look it all over, do any needed work (it won't be much), and put it in his private collection. She will get out of the garage for bike shows and Sunday rides. All in all a great retirement. Yes indeed, I'm pleased.
