GL1500 Wing Heat Radiator Accessory Vents
I have a pair of highly sought after Wing Heaters(accessories) off my 99SE. These close off the radiator output to blow warm air coming through the radiators onto your legs. They have flaps to close when you want heat and open to exhaust the hot air out normally in the summer months so you don't roast.
They fit all GL1500 years 88-2000, all 3 models.
The left one was damaged in the accident but could be repaired. I did some repairs withe ABS cement on the housing and needs final sanding and paint. The chrome fins need to be repaired and the flaps to close off the outflow from the radiator need repair.
Right side vent is in good condition.
I've sold a couple sets a few years ago to other forum members.
update since I posted this: I've got a coat of ABS cement on the parts now.

Re: GL1500 Wing Heat
This is repairable if you don't have a set already needing parts.
The vents are rare to sell sold. I sold the last set for $250 about 4 years ago. I think they sold for over $350 new. The last 4 pics show them on my bike.
The screws with the hred heat shrink hook inside the radiator outlet. On the rear of the vents, (you remove the lower fairing trim) there is screws to screw into the fairing on the top, the bottom screw is where the Baker Air Wings bolt on or you can use the screw from the fairing trim and a chrome cap.

Ooooooo! These are cool and I want them. Sadly I have already spent my " allowance" getting the 1500 back on the road . Deep sigh, maybe next time you have a set I will have the disposable cash on hand
Ride safe, Todd

Did you get it out for a ride up there in the frozen north?

Re: GL1500 Wing Heat Radiator Accessory Vents
You are a funny guy Stu. Yes I am happy to say that my 1500 is back on the road after the deer strike of 2014. I have been busy burning up as much fuel as the budget allows, " testing" my reassembly skills and my memory of where all those pieces went and in which order. Only a couple of leftover parts New paint ,new lights and my wind therapy sessions have begun again. This year I have full insurance coverage against any collisions which means I will never even see another deer on the road let alone come close to hitting one.
I managed a few hundred miles to go visit family last week, was a little late making the trip home. Rode through the mountain passes after dark. It is still pretty cold in the pass at night this early in the Spring, I had the seat heat on ,the vest plugged in and the grips on high. Only my knees suffered from the cold, that is where these vents would have come in handy.

The only other ones I've seen in the past couple of years were on a bike so these are getting rare to find.

If I do all the repairs the price will be back up to $250 like the last set I sold.

Re: GL1500 Wing Heat Radiator Accessory Vents
These are called Wing Warmers! That was the name I couldn't remember.
I just found replacement parts for the broken pieces of chrome grill and flaps so these will be good to go, ready for your paint next week!
I also found the guy has 2 brand new sets of these if anyone is interested in a set of them. They've never been painted and are still black ABS. He has instructions with them too. If interested you can have them for $275 plus shipping. Let me know through pm.

If they're for sale I'd like to buy them - how much and how do you want to be paid? Paypal, check, etc.? I'm in Marcellus, NY 13108, so you can figure out the shipping costs.
Many thanks, Bob
