Corbin Seat for sale from my 1982 GL1100 standard model - The seat is really stylish looking and very wide and roomy and comfortable .. I am only 5'7 so the seat is too wide and roomy for me and I purchased a stock gl1100 seat so this has to go
The seat is very comfortable and has been modified to be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower and narrower at the front and only the drivers side of the weaved seat covers has been peeled back and left unstapled incase you want to place a piece of soft foam over drivers side to make the surface look smooth before restapling .. The passenger side has been untouched
The seat cover has a 4 inch tear starting to open up at the junction of the seat and scooped out backrest .. the seat is adjustable like the stock one and the pan is fibreglass and not metal like most corbins so the seat feels slightly lighter than stock in my opinion
Boxing and shipping would be the most expensive so how about $100 shipped to anywhere in the USA . Local pick up in the San Francisco bay area is welcome for $75 . I can accept paypal.
Thanks

I'm interested. Any chance I could get a close up pic of the tear? Is it on a seam? Thanks

Hello,
Yes, the tear is on the seam where the seat transitions to the mini back rest as seen in the picture. Its not visible and I would rather seam it with high quality tape and I love the old Corbin weaved/mesh type seat cover.
Since I didn't have any buyers for a few months now, got this idea to use the Corbin seat and covert it into a heated seat as I love the woven seat material compared to my stock Vinyl cover seat. . Im guessing a universal heated seat pad would transfer heat well and also allow for circulation. So I just opened the staples on the front part of the seat and trimmed the foam edges so I can flat foot the bike. All I need to to do is test it with the heated seat pad to convert it as my winter seat or before I convert my stock seat with a heated pad.
Honestly Id like to wait and see how my project turns out and will let you know if I may end up keeping the seat.
Thanks
