Looking or 1989 GL1500 starter motor with reverse

After scouring the internet, without any luck, I've failed to find a starter for my GL1500. I've been told that this part is no longer available and that there is no aftermarket unit that can replace it. I am hoping that someone in Goldwingland has a working starter that I may purchase or, at the very least, be able to point me in the right direction. By the way, my current starter cannot be rebuilt because the armature is not available anywhere.
