Wanted: Kuryakyn GL1800 Hitch Receiver

Post by am3098 »

I bought a used Kuryakyn hitch for my 08, but it came with the wrong utility end. The correct utility end I need is in the pics below. If anyone has one to sell, please PM me or e-mail at am3098@yahoo.com.

Thanks for the link Wing Admin. Right before I read your post, I was on the phone with Gary asking if he had a Kuryakyn receiver lying around.

The longer version of the receiver in the link you posted is actually the one I received with the hitch, and will not work. The problem is that I have a Kuryakyn chrome mud flap (they called it a Debris Modulator) installed and the receiver is hitting that flap when I try and slide it in to the hitch. The Kuryakyn brand receiver in the photos fits perfect, thus my quest to find one of those, and I really don't want to give up the chrome flap.

If I can't locate one, I know a fabricator and powder coater, so plan B would be to modify the Add On one I got with the hitch, or I have a GWRRA friend who has the one I need, so I could have the fabricator reverse engineer one.

The guy who sold me the hitch actually found the correct receiver. Problem solved!
