It is with a heavy heart to know that I have to stop riding my bike. Age as caught up with me and it's not good. My doctors are telling me for my own safety to stop riding motorcycles. It seems that within the last 6 months I have developed a couple of major health issues. First issue is a heart condition for which I am going into the hospital on the 5th and 6th of this month to have a Nuclear Stress Test due to constant "Afib" trouble which might wind up with me having a stent or 2 put in, or possibly a pacemaker. I already had a "heart cath" 2 weeks ago in where they found I have 2 problems, 1- I have 2-40% blockages, 2- 2 legions also at 40%, but the worst is I have osteoarthritis in BOTH hands and wrists, and because of that, I no longer have the strength in my hands to twist the throttle, grab the front brake lever or the clutch lever. I am wearing wrist braces on both hands and on meds to manage the pain. My right wrist is very swollen much worse than my left wrist and quite painful.
I am now afraid to ride my motorcycle because if I get into a situation that I have to quickly grab the front brake and clutch levers, to stop the bike, I won't be able to do it, and if I have to twist the throttle to power out of a situation I can't do that either, also if I have to lean the bike down on either side I might not have the strength in my hands and wrists to pull it back upright again.
So, it's time to sell the bike and stay in a cage.
If anyone wants to buy a decent 86 GL1200 Aspencade SEi at a good price, please contact me either thru here or at my email........stuartb306@gmail.com I'm in Tucson Arizona. .
There is a title loan on it which I will be happy to pay off to get the title back. I'm asking $2,300.00

Re: FOR SALE
Hi Chewy. Yeah, it does suck, but better safe than sorry. What makes it worse is I trucked my bike out here from Sweetwater Tennessee, and I was hoping that I would have many years worth of riding it since the weather here is almost always hot and dry, and I DO mean HOT lol. But I guess the "motorcycle Gods" had other plans LOL. Hope you get better too.
