1100 carby parts needed...

Post by gc33 »

Guys I need some help...today i started polishing bits and pieces while I wait for my electostatic cleaner and my frame to come back....anyways I was polishing one of the carb tops (CV housing) on my bench polishing unit aka bench grinder with polishing wheel. All was going swimmingly well..got both belt covers done and the left rocker cover done..sweet...i'll start on the carbs...all going weel then the cv housing flicked out of my hands and bounced off back wall around my workshop and finally the floor...on inspection I couldnt see anything wrong so continued polishing and finished...looking good a pleased with the effort I proceeded to put it back on the carb...to find its fractionally out of round...ever so fractionally that it will go on the piston but is tight so the piston wont slide in it..so Im really annoyed at myself at present...
So if anyone has the cv housing and piston... parts list -list it as piston set, Vacuum. Shown as No8 in diagram.
If anyone can help me pm me...Pleeeease..

While looking for a replacement part, why not take a little hammer and see if you can tap the old one back "Into Round". Since the part is not serviceable in its current condition, it won't hurt anything to try...
A local inventor has figured a way to turn a sausage grinder backward to manufacture pigs.
