As much as I hate to do it I am selling my GL1000. I have tons of respect for these bikes and I loved riding this one, however I just had my first child and would like to sell it. The bike has 46,582 miles, brand new timing belts, fresh oil change, new NGK resistor caps, fresh coolant flush (because of the timing belt job), and a brand new battery. It is a great running bike, I even have the kick starter pedal. Unfortunately, I did not receive the tool kit or tray with the motorcycle when I purchased it. I have a clean transferable title in my name for the bike, with no adverse remarks(TENNESSEE TITLE I'm active military stationed in Virginia). I'm looking to sell the bike relatively fast so I am pricing it at $1200 (negotiable).
THE BAD:
The bike is not perfect there are a few things that need attention,
-The front brakes are always partially engaged, I have no idea what the issue is it started recently, I have flushed the brake fluid twice and it still does it, it doesn't make the bike unrideable but you can tell when setting off.
-It could use new points, I did not have the means to swap to electronic ignition, it still gets reliable spark, but you can see the wear on the points.
-The front forks could use a rebuild, the seals are dry and cracked.
