Looking for a trike maybe??

I think I will be in the market for a trike soon. Could be a 1500 or an 1800. Depends on condition. I know how to service a 1500. I know nothing about an 1800. A later model 1500 will be okay. Assistance will be appreciated.

Most of the triked 1500s and some older gl1800s you will find used on the market will have straight axle rear ends, which give a more ridged ride than an independent rear suspension (IRS) trike will give you. There are some trike companies now offering IRS trike kits for the 1500. Motortrike is one I saw doing a search for gl1500 IRS trike kit.
You can figure a used 97-2000 1500 trike will cost between $12,000-$16,000.
If you go with an 1800, try to get a 2006 and newer for the better frame(2001-2004 goldwings had frame cracking recalls). I saw a 2002 that was triked that had some serious frame cracking.
A 2006-2010 trike can cost between $22,000-$28,000.
