Looking for 97-00 SE Handlebar Controls

Post by zeoran »

I love my new'ish 99 Aspy, but I miss one of the things I had hoped to get with the SE...lighted handlebar controls. The Aspy has CB and everything else, so a regular set of SE controls should work perfectly, I just need to acquire them and then swap them out. If anyone knows where I can get a set, I'd appreciate a heads up.

PS - I'm also looking to replace the white gauges with those from an SE. I had hoped that the problems others had mentioned they had with them going invisible around dusk wouldn't be as bad for me here in SoCal but unfortunately, it is. In fact, they're not that great even at night either.

God bless,

White gauges aren't an Aspencade thing, they belong to all 98/99 models. Gauges from any 88-97 or 2000 'Wing will be black face, but I think there's electrical differences in the 88-92 gauges.

So it seems like my best bet is to find a 95-97 or 2000. Good to know it doesn't have to be an SE for the gauges, just the handlebar controls.

I still have the 99SE left hand control if you find a right side.

As for the gages, change the bulbs to LED bulbs so you can see.
