From all that I have read, you are probably better off just using the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) air filter.

K&N is the worst air filter on the market, proven by many tests against all the rest.

the OEM air filter is the best, it does not need changed all that often, and on the 1500 changing it is not a hard job.

your bike, but the K&N lets dust into the motor :x

Perhaps checking on your order with Cyclemax would the thing to do.
You should be able to log in to your account with them and check the status of your order.
You could also send them an email and get the tracking number of the package.

Interesting information about K&N filter. This proves that not all applications get the same results. I know many people don't clean the K&N filters properly, then over oil them. That makes them not able to do the job they were designed for.

I'm a Baldwin Filter distributor and have been for quite a few year. Not bragging or trying to seem like a know-it-all, cuse I'm not. I do have a lot of knowledge of filters . That said, most people think that a new filter cleans better then a older one. That is not always the case, it depends on the amount of dust on the filter AND the use of the air filter. Example; an air filter that is in use over water even though it does not get wet, it collects moisture. That moisture shorts the filters life DEPENDING on the type of media in the filter. A lite dusting of dirt on an air filter in a dry environment allows the filter to trap more partials then a brand new filter.

Generally, if you can easily see light through the media, the media is serviceable. But if your going on a long trip and your filter is 60% used up, I would replace it. Mainly for the fact that you don't have to concern yourself about your filter while on a trip.

Maybe that is something to thing about when your furnace maintenance person tells you need a new air filter every 6 months. AGAIN, it depends on the media AND how the filter is used. Do you really need the filter, or is he selling you?
Take care. Ed
