Wanted Lower trunk light assem. 2000 1500se

Post by Stantheman55 »

I am looking for the Light assembly that fits around the lower trunk on my 2000-Gl-1500 SE. The right corner clear lens is broken out. if there is a replacement just for that piece great point me to it, other wise I think I need to replace the whole assembly. Does anyone have any leads. Thanks!

Do you mean item #2 in this exploded view diagram?

There is also a replacement that adds turn signals to these assemblies. This one has orange lens. They used to make them with clear lens and amber bulbs to match the OEM turn signals but I don't see them listed currently.

Hi Andy
Thank you for the micro fish diagram and the lead to cycle max. :) Your example was not what I was looking for, perhaps I did not describe what I needed adequately enough. How ever looking through the index I went to trunk light and found that #10 is what I need, it is the long panel light across the back of the bottom of the trunk. Mine consists of three colored lenses. white/clear on each end as it rounds the corner and red across most of the center. My right corner lens got broken out by the P/o. I was hoping to find a used one as the price is a bit steep :o but If I am not able to locate something pre owned I may just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one if their available. thank you for your help. :D

Did you try Ebay? It is a good source.

Yes Mike B
I check it regularly and its not an item that comes up often, perhaps because I think it may get sold along with the trunk when a bike is parted out.
Ill keep looking. :|

Thanks
To all for your help and suggestions and thank you to newday777 for directing me to Honda parts, that's more like what i need at the moment a way to identify parts accurately and order hard to find things, again thank you to all who answered.
