Seat Pan or Entire Seat WANTED - 1978 GL1000

Hello everyone. I bought a '78 in October. The bike was in pieces and a real mess, but I do have it looking and running very good now. I bought a new seat cover, pulled the seat off, removed the old cover and saw that the seat pan is badly rusted around the edges where the seat cover is anchored. The foam is good enough. A welder told me I was better off locating a pan, so I'm looking. If you have a serviceable pan that will hold the upholstery, I am interested. I will buy the entire seat or just the pan. I think 1975-79 will all fit. Payment will be through PayPal. Thanks.

I've got a seat pan from a 78. It's been sanded and painted and has some foam glued to it and that's as far as i got before i had to abort the project. Located in Ridgecrest California.

Here's the seat. You can see some rust blistering through lightly in a few spots. Also, there's a shear in one place that needs to be drilled out and tacked. And the foam is my first attempt and is coming untacked. But, if you want it I'll ship it. UPS to San Antonio from here is $35 tops for the weight and dimensions of this seat pan. I can rip off the foam to shed some dollars on shipping.
