cruise control

Post by mlkmn89 »

On my 1996 goldwing GL1500SE my right handlebar cruise control switches have stopped working. I took it apart and there is no fix to it. I must replace it. The part number for what I am looking for is 35130-MT8-771. I cannot find this part new or used anywhere. However I did find a brand new part that looks identical to mine on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/361509989875 . Part number is 35013-MAM-A60 . Can someone please tell me where I can find a good used 35130-MT8-771 or do you think tis one will work on my bike 35013-MAM-A60.

Looking at the parts list, the only difference between Part #6 (35130-MT8-771) and the Part # 4 (35013-MAM-A60) is that part # 6 does not have the 2 bolts to mount it. Everything else is the same.
The e-bay listing will work. You will just need to reuse your current bolts.

For some weird reason, all the sites I checked on have part #6 listed for '96, but no part #4, and '97 has part #4 listed, but not part #6?

No problem.
I was initially going to say that it should fit, but may have different pigtails, but once I started looking into it, found the only difference between the part numbers was the bolts.
