Selling 82' Goldwing Aspencade.

Post by StephLemay »

I'm selling my Goldwing Aspencade, GL1100, which is in excellent shape and does not look 40 years old at all. Here are some ups/downs about my bike.

Ups:

Only 75K Km on it. Just broken in, really.
Pretty much all original.
I have the original manual
The Honda tool kit and tire pressure gauge are still in tacked.
Heated grips with 4 settings (controller on the handlebars)
LED tail light, front blinkers and headlight.
Most of the lights on the light bars are now LED.
The saddlebag package is in great shape and the main key unlocks all the locks. (I have two keys, one is original)
Tires are still in decent shape.
Turn signals turn off automatically when you complete a turn.
Air shocks with built-in compressor pump and easy fill/release air controls.
Original bike cover with ASPENCADE on the side and Honda on the front and back.

Downs:

Compressor works, but the switch doesn't.... but I have rebuilt the switch, but it has to be mounted back in the control box.\
Compressor works, but air is not getting to the shocks. Just needs a bit of troubleshooting to see where the air stops heading for the shocks.
Having said that, you can use any compressor to fill up the shocks. There is an air intake connector for any compressor... like the ones found at gas stations. or even a bicycle pump.
there's a pesky rust on top of the lower light bar. I keep cleaning it up, and then it rusts again in a few days. I'd paint the light bars black, if I was keeping the bike.
There is one broken light on one side/lower light bar. I got the whole bar for 20 bucks at princess auto, so easy fix.
Radio is pretty much no good. It continuously scans and won't stop on a station.
Display for radio setting and clock slowly died. This can probably be fixed without too much trouble. Bad/old connections, I'm guessing. (for the benefit of the clock)

That's all I can think of right now.

$4000, negotiable.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to share if you know someone interested.
