WANTED: NLA GL1500 Aux Audio Input/Bluetooth Adapter

Post by WarrenD »

Anybody have one they're willing to get rid of or don't need? They've been sold out and discontinued, so I'm just scrounging around trying to come up something that'll allow me to do more than just a GPS in on my 90 GL1500 SE.

Thanks!
Warren

Hi Warren, Please clarify - what are you trying to do?

There are Bluetooth - to FM radio modulator devices you can buy - tune the Bluetooth signal on the stereo - and there are also decent FM modulators with an AUX input....

More details of your desired setup would help advise.

Found something that'll do for now. Apparently the device that was being sold on this site is now being sold by CycleMax. Simply a GPS input device that goes in line without having to cut any wires, but not "exactly"
what I was looking for, but it'll do for now. I'd like to update the GL1500 audio system with something newer and more capable. Perhaps I can 3D Print a new housing for something more current and swap out the CB for a 2 meter or 2 meter/440 Dual Bander. Another project, just what I need.

That's the GPS Input that we manufactured for many years. It was discontinued last year, but a few retailers still have a few of them on hand, I guess Cyclemax still has some.

Exactly. I recognized it when it showed up. Looked different on their website, but it's the same. I was gonna ask you about it, or parts for it, but found this one and it turns out to be the same one you had made.

There were a few threads on replacing the GL1500 radio with a more modern radio.

Also a few on adding amateur radios to the bike. I had a Kenwood on my GL1500 and in the process of mounting a Yaesu to my GL1800.
