Selling my 2000 GL1500SE - SOLD!

Post by WingAdmin »

Yup...I can't believe I'm saying it, but it's true...

This is my 2000 GL1500 SE. If you've spent ANY amount of time here on GoldwingDocs or on my GoldwingDocs YouTube channel, you have seen this bike all over it. It's really a one-of-a-kind bike, with so many modifications and accessories that I had to write a list to try to remember them all (and I still forgot some).

Asking $6000 for it.

So, are you hanging up your helmet, or stepping up to an 1800?

Seems he had a thread a while back about getting off the bike...

Once I went to an 1800 I said I would not go back to a carb'ed bike, but this... Hmmm.

If you watch his video about selling his camper, there is a little hot rod in the video. I think he’s done with bikes. Just guessing.

I've had that for a while, but that's not what I just purchased. :)

Maybe a plane. There are a lot fewer idiots in the air than on the road, but alas that number seems to be growing, too.

Good luck w/the sale of your nicely maintained & upgraded GL1500!
I have a ‘95 GL1500SE that, at a 100,000 mi, has req’d replacing the rear Master brake Cylinder (horrible job), front wheel bearings/brake pads & caliper seal rebuilds. Thx for your video help for some of it. BTW, can’t help but to ask…what’s with the hair redo?

Mid-life crisis?
It started during COVID, couldn't get it cut, and then I just decided...why not? Never had it really long before, so...I'm sure at some point I'll get sick of it and it will all go away. Plus I see lots of my childhood friends who now CAN'T grow hair, so it can't hurt to show off.

The bike (and trailer) are sold, to a genuinely nice gentleman who lives nearby, and said "come ride it anytime you like."

Maybe he's decided to switch to a Harley? I test rode a Road King a couple of weeks ago and really liked it.

Well I bought my replacement this weekend. I might try to bring it down to the Gathering, we'll see how time allows. I know everyone wants to know what it is...let's just say it's an air-cooled trike built in Milwaukee. :)
