Leaving Lakeland, Fl for Thunder Bay Canada then on to Ak
Plan on leaving July 24 if all goes as planned. Riding solo GL 1200 Aspencade and pulling trailer full of camp gear. Will be doing the Tail of the Dragon on the way up. Hoping to do Pikes Peek on the way back. Will arrive in Anchorage to late for the King Salmon but plan to fish Coho for a day or two. Will be camping for most of the trip but doing hotel gig in Anchorage.

That is an adventure, to say the least.
I wish you a safe and fun ride. Please take lots of pictures and update your thread along the way.

I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

I live 300 miles west and north of Thunder Bay. Make a few trips down there each year. You must have had a nice trip. I've gone across Canada to Vancouver Island myself.carlwatson wrote:Have friend living in thunder bay, stayed with them 2 days before heading across the trans Canadian.

My nephew just moved up to Thunder Bay from Southern Ontario a few weeks ago to go to university. I think he will be in for a bit of a shock come winter.
