down for a while

Post by brianaber » Sat Aug 22, 2015 1:09 pm

well it eventually happened, got knocked by a truck who decided to change lanes with out looking , hence hitting me, forcing me to flip over the island separating between the 2 sides of the road, cracking my hip and knee. 8 weeks therapy and then possibly a total hip replacement. the fact that this site has so many interesting items to read helps me pass the slow healing process.
keep in touch

Oh, MAN! Sorry to hear that, Brian! Speedy healing, my brother! It constantly amazes me how people just refuse to see motorcycles. My 'Wing has 101 lights on it (I counted them, last night), it's Glacier Pearl White, and it's dripping in chrome...yet you'd thing it was flat black & unlighted, the way it seems invisible to cagers.

I hate to sound crass,'s the bike? (when I've been 'down', I've laid there for weeks, worrying about my bike - hopefully it's minor, so you can rest without worrying about it!)

Keep reading, Brian, it will make the healing time go by quicker. When you have finished reading, there will be a test to make sure you understand it all  . Keep smiling, and heal quicker and better.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

I know what you are going through as I have sat here many days reading as I healed. There are lots of interesting articles to read and help to pass the time, and also learn a lot more about your bike. How did the bike make it through this? Hope it is not too badly damaged. I did a lot of fixing on mine while I was on crutches and sitting on a bucket. Hope you heal fast so you will be back on it soon.
