Thank you for letting me join this forum. Currently I am riding a 2002 Magna, at the moment I don't have Goldwing, but if all goes well I will be buying a Teal 1996 GL500 SE. Since I'm buying the bike from a friend and the price has already been settled the only issue is going to be if I feel comfortable jumping up from a 750 to a 1,500. I think I'll be fine!
Looking forward to getting to know my new to me bike and taking some longer ride with my better half.
Until then I'll just leave this one here:

Re: New Member
Thank you folks, as you can see from my new avatar I bought my first Goldwing. She is a beautiful 1994 (not 1996 like originally thought) Teal GL1500SE.

Congrats on the new wing, These bikes ride and act differently than any other bike out there, i come off a VTX to the wing, you will have to grow in to it, there heavy, top heavy etc, may take a bit to get used to

Thanks Curt! Planning on taking my time getting used to her, my Magna only weighs in at 500 pounds. I will definitely be spending time in an empty parking lot working on my low speeds maneuvers.curtm wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 8:45 amCongrats on the new wing, These bikes ride and act differently than any other bike out there, i come off a VTX to the wing, you will have to grow in to it, there heavy, top heavy etc, may take a bit to get used to

I know I'll be looking for an electronic version of the service manual. Otherwise I'll just comb through the forum and gather whatever info I can.
