cruise control switch contact on right front brake lever
My 1987 GL1200 cruise control works but on the handlebar switch it seems to be missing a clip or something that makes contact with the right brake lever. The previous owner had glued the switch down but then the application of the front brake does not release the cruise switch. Any suggestions on how to fix it or get the missing clip?

Re: cruise control switch contact on right front brake lever
On my 85 and my brother's 87 with cruise, the appendage on the brake lever that contacts the brake light switch is longer to work the cruise switch. We both bought an aftermarket lever that said it was for bikes with cruise, but did not have the extended piece. You may be able to fabricate something by drilling, tapping and then making a block of some sort to activate both. HTH

Thank you. I did buy a lever that was supposed to be the right one but it was the same as the one on the bike.. I will get a piece welded on the new one.
