Can pickup an 84 1200 aspy cheap. Needs starter. Got a spare 1100 starter on shelf. Will it work?
Know they have dif part numbers according to partzilla. Hopping someone has tryed that switch.

As far as I'm aware, the '84 starter is a one year only part. I know the later 1200 starters don't fit neither do the 1100 or 1000 units. Best route is to take it to somewhere that does rebuild/rewinds, although these are getting scarce these days.
