Decided to remove the tall aerials on the "Couch".
Going with a short, like 8" radio and removing the cb one.
Never will use so upon removal I have this mess to deal with.
Thinking I'll double side tape a piece on aluminum on unless or until
I find the stock piece without the holes.

Re: 1989 CB aerial
You should disable (remove fuse) or remove the CB. If you accidently hit the transmit key without an antenna, you will damage the radio unit. Someone else might want that radio in working condition.

Thanks, I'll track down the fuse cause I have no idea about a transmit button.

Another option until you find the new trim piece, is there are snap in plugs for round holes in metal and plastic.

There are stick-on reflectors that will look good there.

Re: 1989 CB aerial
Should've installed before pic, paint isn't quite as good on replacement. Now looking for a short radio aerial thinking like 6-8 inches, lots a stuff on ebay.
