HMC Lift opinions / advice

Post by bdevlinor »

Hi Folks,

I’m considering purchasing an HMC SL-3086 or SL-3090 lift table. Wondering if anyone owns or has used one of these tables and would be willing to share their experience.

Thanks in advance.

Bill

i have owned a couple, and worked with several more over the years. not a bad thing to say about them. get the wheel vise, not the chock, and also get the mid jack and the side extensions. you will never have to spend again on motorcycle lift. you also save shipping this way as they can ship everything on the same pallet on the same truck.

Thanks very much for sharing your views. Good advice about accessories, too. Appreciate it!

I just bought this APlusLift air lift and love it:
https://www.apluslift.com/products/aplu ... ift-mt1500

This company makes lifts for other companies but you can save money if you buy it from them directly. It looks similar to the one you are considering. I was also impressed with the customer service.

I did see the APlusLift and wondered about it. Good to know that you’ve had a good experience with this lift. I’ll check it out.

F*** it BUY AMERICAN............keep an american working making HIGH QUALITY goods.
There are other MC Lifts that are made in USA and cost roughly 300 bucks more. BUT far superior lifting capabilities and not a scissor type lift.
BLACK WIDOW Black Widow ProLift Extra-Wide Air/Hydraulic Motorcycle Lift Table - 1,500 lb. Capacity $1700
BENDPAK RML-1500XL (5150605) Motorcycle Lift Platform with Front Wheel Vise / Deluxe Extended W/WHEEL VISE $2200
HMC Industries American Made SL-3090 Air Lift Table https://www.hmcindustries.com/store/c7/Lift_Tables.html BEST TABLE EVER AND PRICE REFLECTS IT $1900 AND ^^^^^^ (IMHO)

ALL THE ABOVE ARE 1500 LB LIFTS. They are viable as a 1000 lb lift too.

ORRRRRRRRRRR, ya can just get a cheapo foot pedal Harbor Freight one for about $500

PITTSBURGH 1000 lb. Steel Motorcycle Lift – Item 68892 / 69904 / 91764

This motorcycle lift has a foot-operated pump that allows you to easily lift your motorcycles or small recreational vehicle hands free for servicing. Constructed of diamond plate steel, this motorcycle lift can easily lift up to half a ton! Features include retractable casters for easy movement around your garage floor, a 7 in. wide tire stop and an integrated leg-lock for safe operation making this motorcycle lift ideal for any biker or motorcycle mechanic that needs to tune-up their ride.

Compare our price of $499.99 to BLACK WIDOW at $1349.99 (model number: BW-1000A). Save $850.00 by shopping at Harbor Freight.

We all make our choices. I had a Harbor Freight one that served me well for awhile. I bought the BW-1000A Black Widow and then another one got the best one made IMHO the SL-3090
You can do anything, but not everything.
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. :ugeek:
