When I was a kid they sold cheap little toys at the corner store called "Flying Things". Little foam gliders, little airplanes in shapes of everyday household items. Lawnmowers, ketchup bottles.....
which would actually fly. I think that's possibly why building a trike appeals to me so much.
Look at this thing.
From the looks of it I'd say it's probably somewhat ride-able. Not comfortable, probably handles poorly, but it's functional and looks dammed strange. Works for me!

Looks like the rider is decked out in a top hat and tails. I would not give a nickel for his chances of surviving the ride. When those tails get wound up in the chain and then in the back wheel, his ride is gonna end right sudden like.
