I tried to make it pretty, but that didn't work, and a Farnkinstine build was too ugly, so I went Post-Apocalyptic, Mad Max, SHTF build and it seemed to work. Not pretty but it gets attention wherever I take it. It's even been in a Harley Davidson Dealer Bike show. Didn't win anything but I took it there anyway. LOL.

I've had some giggles from this lot but.... As a young lad growing up on a farm & not having a lot of money in the early days, my old man took it apon himself to build a motorbike "because he could" out of bits & pieces lying around. Now I don't have a picture of the beast, so I will have to paint you a picture to get the idea of what the finished product became.

The tyres alone would be enough to make even "dark side" riders out there shudder & cringe. Not sure where he got them from but they had tractor type grip pattern on the front & rear, I suspect they may have come off something like a Graverly garden tractor. (We had a lot of swampy ground)

Homemade front forks, frame & ridged rear end all made out of 3/4 galv pipe. I think the only motorcycle part on this beast was the seat off a very early bike that had a leather top with springs under the rear, you know the type..

An old black Brigg's & Scrap Iron donk drove a 3 speed separate gearbox via a chain. It all adds up to really heavy, butt ugly & a real handful to ride. Some days it would go like a charm, other days you would have to push it home. #*>"#

All said & done we had so much fun on the old beast, it's looks didn't really come into it at the time. A lot of fond memories...

Oh yeah.....I brought this home from the city of Chicago in the '70s. Rode it around for fun in the winter.
