Hi maz the ignition key and barrel and yeas some what all in the frame and rebuilt I have to do the wires and brakes and then put the fairings back on so still a mounting to climb lol

You know it'll be worth it!
As for the ignition barrel , I'm pretty sure they're the same generic keyswitch as fitted to many Hondas of the 70's / 80's. If it's a US import it will incorporate the steering lock.

Hi maz the key barrel but for now I need help if anyone may I'm struggling to find where I need to put the crankcase breather and tubes back together but I'm lost ATM with where it gose and I only seem to have the larger of the 2 tanks I'm kinda unsure what to do now??? And happy new year to you too maz I actually spent mine in Florida Disney world with the kids and wife beautiful place man

Hi Graham. Sounds like you had a great time. As for the breathers, my bike is a 1000, so the breather system is (I think) different. Hopefully one or two of the 1200 owners will chime in with some pointers for you, although I'm pretty sure I have read threads on this subject on here. Try the search box at the top for 'GL1200 crankcase breathers'.

Incidentally, your ignition switch should look like the picture, which is pretty much identical to those used on many Hondas and, I think, ALL 4 cylinder 'wings.

I going through this here in good ol WI USSA, does anyone have a step by step guid for frame replacement? I picked mine up dirt cheap and didnt know why untill i was home. Im a classic car mech not a goldwing one. Any help would be a blessing

Full shop manual from Honda covers most of it along with everything else you’ll need to know.
