It just came to me in a blinding flash THE biker song. It being TT week I'm ashamed I didn't think of it before:
George Formby "Riding in the TT Races" from the film "No Limit", shown every year in the IOM. Click on link and bow down in homage!

Wouldn't you just love to put our politicians on the back of a TT rider's bike. With apologies to our friends abroad, we have just had to endure yet another polling day.

I also have Alone In The Dark by John Hiatt. The funny thing about that song is that, as great as Jamie Lee Curtis is dancing to that song in True Lies every time I listen to it, in my head I can hear the thud when she falls in the movie. It makes me laugh every time.

I listen to it a lot after getting off work at night and riding home alone in the dark.

Always been a favorite of mine even before I got a bike. But it remains one of my favorites to this day. Always turn the volume up when I play it!

The Back Porch Pickers "Ridin' on the Dragon" also Link Wray's "Walkin' Bulldog" even though it isn't exactly a biker song, when it comes up on my playlist my throttle seems to twist a bit more.

I have never heard of that song "Ridin on the Dragon", but i looked it up and i believe the more accurate name for people interested is: The Back Porch Boys-----Ridin the Dragon!
I found it on Youtube.....adding that one to my motorcycle music!!!!

I have followed this thread from the beginning. Lots of great favorites here, most were already on my playlist. Some have been added based on your posts.

While I have many Hatchett and Skynyrd (can't believe Free Bird isn't here yet especially the live version) tunes, don't dismiss those Yankee boys.
Aerosmith - Back in The Saddle. Livin On The Edge, Dream On and others
Boston - More Than a Feeling, Foreplay/Long Time, Smokin' and others
Cars - Good Times Roll, Let's Go, Moving in Stereo (another movie reference).

Reference to the left coast, really should have a Beach Boys tune or two on your list.

Across the pond to ELO - Fire on High, Don't Bring Me Down.

Last and completely off the wall from everything else......Ride Of The Valkyries. Not for the movie reference but for the Great Cruiser of Goldwing family and it's a great riding song!!!

Previously: GL1200 standard, GL1200 Interstate, GL1500 Goldwing, GL1500 Valkyrie Standard, 2000 Valkyrie Interstate, many other Hondas
