Mine would not update the firmware with a 64GB card, I had to stick in a smaller one - I had a 16GB one sitting around, and it worked fine.OCD Tronic wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2018 1:45 amYou shouldn't be connecting the camera to your laptop at all.The Bus Driver wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2018 7:14 pmNeed to let Jon know I am still having problems with my C5..I brought the unit in to connect it to my laptop to(try)to update the firmware.I downloaded the file to my laptop, but could not get it to the micro SD card as the computer kept saying the SD card needed formatting. OK,...lets format the SD card.I tried for 30 minutes, but windows was having none of it saying it could not complete formatting the SD card...I read one of the troubleshooting emails on the GoldwingDocs site viewed the video and hooked the DR up to my bike with the USB cord,no flashing lights...when I pressed the power button both buttons lit up and stayed on steady.....I'mjust a little frustrated and have put the DVR down because I don't know what to do next...
You should use the USB card reader that was included in the box.
If you have a 32GB card you don't need to format it, since it's already the correct FAT32 file format.
If you have a 64GB or larger card, you have to do the manual format process mentioned above to turn the default exFAT factory formated card to FAT32. Only large cards have this issue.
If you can get a 32GB card to do the update that's best.
Another option is you can ship it to my office in Nevada and I'll update and test it for you. My business card should be in the box.

UPDATE:
Last few customer problems ended up being a bad memory card by the way.
Samsung EVO U3 is the recommended card. Avoid Sandisk Ultra. Any brand "High Endurance" card is good as well.

Re: Innovv C5 Motorcycle Camera Review
Nice job thanks for sharing. By the way the youtube video only seems to be 480 resolution maximum (instead of 1080P) so C5 video at the end looks a bit grainy for anyone judging the video quality
Maybe you can you share some additional raw video clips of your ride to download and view?
You can use dropbox or other sharing service to link to.
Here is my file upload link if you want me to share any raw video dropbox link(s) for you:

Re: Innovv C5 Motorcycle Camera Review
I've had my camera for 8 months,...I had sent it back in for a firmware update and it's working good. What I see now is it doesn't run for the time I set it up for. 5minutes turns into 45 seconds or sometimes even less.So say an hour ride may have 30 or more short videos instead of an hour of 5 minute segments. Also I'd like to be able to save video to my phone since I have the app on my phone.Any info on how to do that?

Re: Innovv C5 Motorcycle Camera Review
I had some time today to try to work out some bugs with my C5.I shut off motion detection like you said from the settings app on my phone.I took the bike out for a short ride around the block but when I replayed the video I only had a very short segment while the bike was still in the garage.I think it stopped recording after I shut off the motion detection...If we are not having T-storms on Wed.morning I will ride to work and see if I get the trip recorded....

Re: Innovv C5 Motorcycle Camera Review
I'm not sure how long you've had your C5 but also update the firmware if you've had it since last year.

Re: Innovv C5 Motorcycle Camera Review
Jumping in on this even though I'm a dirty non-Goldwing rider, just because it's one of the only active discussions of the Innovv cameras that I can find anywhere on the Interwebz.
OP, would it be possible to post some full-resolution screen captures of your video? I'm particularly interested in seeing a screenshot where you can read a license plate.
I watched the video review on YouTube, but YT apply their own compression to uploaded videos. So, I'm not sure that what I saw accurately represents the quality of the video coming out of the C5 system.

Please note, the audio from this particular test video is not the best, and mic performance has been improved since then.

This is the frame I took from the video that I show in the video - of a van with a closing rate of about 120 mph (both of us doing 60 mph):DesertBike wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 9:15 pmJumping in on this even though I'm a dirty non-Goldwing rider, just because it's one of the only active discussions of the Innovv cameras that I can find anywhere on the Interwebz.

Here's a couple I took of the same spot, one during daylight, one at night:

I just realized the web site scales those images down (normally 1920x1080) to 1280x720, so I cropped the relevant parts of the images to that you will be able to see them in full, original resolution (click to see full size):
