I missed last year due to a completely torn rotator cuff. I am planning to make it this year.

OK, even though I don't camp, and several people have asked about them, I found a few campgrounds near Parkersburg, WV

My search results:
https://www.startpage.com/do/search?cat ... g+WV&pl=ff

A couple of links from the search:
http://www.camping-usa.com/campgrounds/ ... rkersburg/

Enjoy!

How many people would be interested in camping? Javier's has web site on mount wood site looks like it be a good one 10 to 15 minutes from motel. Would be nice all stayed in the same park. Most times two on the same site for the price of one like $10 to $15.00 A pice.

I have this posted in the hotel info thread but thought I would add it to this thread also so no matter what thread you follow this info will be on it.

"If anyone is interested, I have put multiple routes for this ride in gpx format. I have all the Ohio Windy Nine routes and 3 routes in WV that start at Mineral Wells. If you have navigation that will import in that format and would like to have my collection, PM me with your Email and I will share what I have with you. I have printed directions for 2 of the WV rides that I will copy and bring with me. Looking forward to seeing old friends and new ones as well."

Been a GoldwingDocs reader for a few years and I'm considering attending the gathering next month. Is there any sign up/registration required or just show up? I'd actually be coming in the afternoon of the 13th. - AJ

Just show up, and Have Fun.

Check this link for Hotel Info, and maybe make a post (there is a running list of those who've made reservations): viewtopic.php?f=20&t=42704

No sign up sheet. Call hotel and book a room or post looking for a roomie. Let us know and then show up! Have many exciting routes planned... this ride is not to be missed.

Made my hotel reservation this evening. Looking forward to meeting and riding with you all. WV has some great roads.

I have been reading this forum for several years but never posted anything. Some really great information and how-tos on here. Thanks for all the information.

See you all in a few days.

I have put the GPX files online for the Gathering rides. They can be downloaded here so that you can load them into your GPS:

/2018_Goldwingdo ... ng_GPX.zip

GPX is GPS File Exchange, and is a way to view the trips. You can read more about it here:

https://fileinfo.com/extension/gpx

You can view the individual trips on these maps:

TripA - https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... sp=sharing

Mineral Wells Glenville Mothman - https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... sp=sharing

HThe Triple Nickel fr - https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... sp=sharing

H Mineral Wells Southern Loop - https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... sp=sharing

Rim of the World - https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... sp=sharing

And lastly, you can see them here:

Latest weather forecast is for Florence to turn left and go far south. Forecast for the WV/OH area is warm and sunny every day through Monday, with perhaps a small thunderstorm late Friday night. Perfect riding weather! Hopefully this won't change...

Weather is great for this year's Gathering! One day down, everyone loved the ride today.

Tomorrow's ride will be departing from the Hampton Inn, kickstands up at 9 am. If you want to load the GPX file into your GPS, you can download it here:

Looking forward to the Ride today.

Yesterday there were some that were interested in purchasing the T-valve stems for their bikes and/or trailers when they use an external tire pressure monitor (TPM) such as the FOBO Bike. They are available from CycleMax for the very handy sum of TWO for $20 PLUS shipping and maybe a few more pennies for the Gov. https://cyclemax.com/inc/sdetail/chrome ... 102/261164

For those interested, there is an informational Installation Guide located here:
https://my-fobo.com/uploads/fobobike/T_ ... nGuide.pdf

Enjoy your Day today.

I see this is my first post. I just want to thank everyone I met and rode with yesterday for an enjoyable day. It was good to meet you all and nice to see Larry the Cruiser again. I made it home late this morning and wish you all a safe and pleasant journey. The pictures posted are great. Thanks, Scott. Hope to see more once everyone is settled back home. Thanks again all, Larry.

I recognized several riders and bikes, especially that white Spyder trike.

just too many of these rallys to make all of them, and I need to save up my gas money, because the next one is going to expen$ive for us to make down in Homassas, FL

almost 3,000 miles by the time we make a full circle back to home pulling the Toy Hauler with us....
the doggies have to go to, and my daughter has never been in the S.E. part of our country.

We made it home safe and sound with a total of 1495 miles for the 5 days. The highest temperature we saw (and for most of our ride) was 91 degrees until we were within 15 miles of our home where it hit and stayed at 93 degrees. We had a great time and are looking forward to more trips. :D
