well
since my post i have read many weard text, like one that guy's are taking the desiccant in a microwave and heat it,,,,,,,man i did not beleive that.

these are chimicals stufff ,,you could have blown,,i dont know but these have a "limited life time" those products so after a time they become absolete.

now i will check where i can find a bottle of it!

I put the desiccant from mine in the microwave just like the article said to and it came back looking just like new and had no bad effects to it, it works.

I dried mine at medium power for about 6 to 8 30 second microwave bits .. You wanna sneak up on it.

but you can also buy it from Amazon.com :

In my experience, as a retired chemist, as long as it has not melted, or cooked , or turned to powder , or gone black ...... you can re-activate it back to bright blue essentially forever

I put mine in the oven at about 200F for about 10-15 minutes iirc, and it was fine. I didn't know about using a microwave on it.

Used the oven as well. 400 deg for about 15 minutes, went from pink to blue real quick.

the ole oven is the safest way.

just spread it out on a cookie sheet and bake it at 200°F for 30 minutes or until it turns bright pink or is it blue?

I thought it went blue when wet, been 50 years since I worked with that stuff.

I've never tried the microwave, but being that the point is to bake the moisture out of it, I have always used the toaser oven, set to broil. It takes just a few minutes, and works very well. See: How to service your air compressor dessicant
