It appears HF no longer carries the Haul Master utility trailers in their inventory . . Does anyone know what happened?

First they sold 800,000 trailers with lights that did not meet DOT standards. DOT told them to issue a recall, and Harbor Freight ignored them. So the DOT fined them almost half a million dollars.

Then they were forced to do a second recall because it turns out the tires that they sold on another 173,000 trailers were unsafe and would fail when the trailers were carrying their rated load.

As of right now, I don't think they are selling any trailers at all.

all of the tires on HF trailers were junk the day they left the store.

I had to replace mine with larger wheels, 5.80x8 which are actually speed rated and heavier sidewalls in the tires.

This trailer looks to be a good alternative choice. The plan was to build a homemade camping trailer, something similar to the pics posted in the camping trailer thread. .. Thanks
