Anybody a member there? Any idea if they pulled the plug? My shortcut to the site doesn't work anymore...

Ed Belanger the owner of the site was an exceptional guy. R.I.P http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/4-m ... anger.html

Yeah, I knew the founder had passed, but that there was some effort to keep the torch lit. I joined just a year ago, I guess the support wasn't there or it was too much of a task. I'm sure keeping a web site forum up and running is a lot of work. :(

Good thing we still have GoldwingDocs!

Ok so for that site you need to enter the first year of the gold wing - the common answer seems to be 1975 - but it won't accept that

I just accessed it at http://www.gl1200goldwings.com/gl1200/portal.php

IIRC, had to try several times to get logged in the first time after it came back up...
I think I used 1976 but that was months ago for me.

I loaded up Qupzilla browser which does not have any username or password info,
and this link came up immediately, and when trying to register, it asks

What was the first year of the GL1200 Goldwing

Wasn't 1984 the first year for the GL1200?
