I was just trying to give some technical input. Washing with soap gets that soap into the crevices around the stem to add to its longevity. Using armorall or other treatment also helps. I can remember when almost everything was over engineered and lasted a lifetime. Our first washing machine went 20 years and I could fix it myself. now they only last 5-10 any calling a repairman costs more than buying a new one. Please don’t say call a repairwoman, I am using it generically. Yes, stem make up has changed. They have replaced natural rubber with sythetic and they have added planned obsolescence just like everyone else has. We all need to make a living and once a market is saturated the only thing you can do is sell your product to the same people.

I bought a set of straps using the Amazon link provided. Can't wait to give them a try. I've been using large C-clamps to push the beads in, but this looks like a much easier method.

That explains the entire situation. Thanks.

Just used this method of mounting on the front rim. Put on a BT45. Took about 6 min to get the tire on the rim!

What stops you from bending rotors wen you brake the tire bead down? Wen I take my tires of I use two pieces of 4x4 rest the tire on just to make shore not to put any side pressure on my rotors just asking. In my Area $40.00 to have new tire put on

That's exactly what I also do. Two 4x4's set apart so the brake rotor goes in between them.
