Hi there,
I'm wondering if the GL1000 rear MC is compatible with my 83 GL1100. I have split the linked brakes so my rear brake will be independent. My original MC seized up and got lost during my recent move. Are there any other Master cylinders that are able to bolt on without major fabrication?
I'll have the front two brakes linked with an aftermarket MC and hopefully get this rear one operable on its own.

Not sure if a 1000 MC will work, don't think so but all years 1100s will bolt up, you just have to change the rear brake line.

I'm having some trouble finding an 1100 MC for a reasonable price. Might have to do some hunting locally. Worst case scenario I saw another thread where they got a similar style MC from a Kawasaki or something to bolt up with a simple adapter plate.

I use one from a valkerie on an 1100, took a little engineering but it worked. The linkage rod was just the right length.
