To say the least, I am not lucky at raffles. I rarely win and the last time I won it was only because the company gave all the kids a prize! Mine was a basketball that was not round but oblong. Playing with it was, shall we say, interesting.

That all changed last month. I went to the party at Performance Cycle in Centennial Colorado. Enjoyed the slow drag races, got information on things, bought a new mesh jacket at 20% off, bought my friend his guardian bell, ran into the guy that my son got my Goldwing from and WON A SET OF TIRES!!!!!

When they called me, I figured I got the gloves or something minor like that. Nothing of importance or interest. But I had won a set of Dunlop tires worth up to $350. Well, the only tires for the GL1800 are the Elite 4 which are higher than $350 but they just absorbed the difference so I have brand new set of tires waiting for these tires to wear down a little more.

I am really glad I bought the $20 worth of raffle tickets and ended up winning a great prize like that! Looking forward to going again next year just to have some fun and enjoy the evening. Maybe I'll get lucky again...

Congratulations! I won a raffle once - back in 1970. It was a drawing held by the US Selective Service and I was drawn as #8 ... won a 2-year tour with all expenses paid, starting in Jan 1971!

Alan, that's one raffle that I don't think would be very much fun.

I think my SS raffle was fixed.
Number 287 and designated as 1H.
Decades later found what 1H stood for.
